But I have heard socialists on dozens of occasions bash the capitalism they live in and claim that the 'failed' socialist states failed because they weren't "real socialism". I would argue that I have heard many european socialists say this. And many that have said all the socialism in Europe from the late 40s to 60s was never "REAL socialism". And even if there has never been a 'real capitalist' nation become a 'real socialist' nation, the meme is still clearly true. Capitalism creates a lot of wealth and motivation to work therefore lifting more people out of poverty and into a comfortable existence. Where as socialism eliminates any real need to work and thereby diminishes motivation to work thereby decreasing total wealth and dropping more people into poverty. The socialists always just claim that the redistribution isn't happening properly if there is one person left with a savings account. Socialism kills off all nation states within two generations every time.
I would add that even China was forced to adopt elements of free markets in order to save themselves from communism induced stagnation. Their economy has grown practically unabated since.
We have some very dumb people with no knowledge of history pushing against our proven but imperfect system. Time to push back.
Memes are definitely not a waste of space. A meme of a dog, rainbow, fire and 15 words can communicate what it too me about 200 words to communicate. In this case words are a bigger waste of space. Plus it is funny, so it stays in your mind longer and stronger. The Donald is all about longer and stronger.
