As a European, I don't see why you guys always have to say 'n word' instead of 'nigger'. I mean, it's not like people don't know what n word means anyway, what's the damn point. It's like restricting which language you can use based on your race. I understand you shouldn't insult somebody with the word 'nigger', but you should at least be able to say it.
I disagree. He is saying that Europeans don't understand why you say "n-word" instead of nigger.
That's wrong. Most Europeans know why. It's persecution. And it happens here just like it happened over there
It's out of respect. Older, younger, we were generally taught that it's not a nice word and shouldn't be used. Yes, you should be able to say it -- free speech and all -- but a lot of us still self censor, because A) it's not worth the indefensible misunderstanding or misrepresentation from other parties and B) we often don't believe using it is worth the offense that comes with it, because it's definitely an ugly word and we aren't actually racists -- contrary to the left's bullshit -- so we don't feel it's necessary to say the whole word.
I respectfully disagree. It's all about control. Blacks sling around the N word like it's nothing, then act horrified when a white person utters it. It divides society. White kid grows up hearing his black friends say the N word in an endearing way, and one day he uses it the same way as them and is then crucified. It's a "gotcha!" used to purposefully divide us.
Fuck them. Nigger is NOT an ugly word in the way it is used today, and the only way for us to unite is for everyone to be free to say it
It's silly. It's just a word that basically means the same thing as "black" but of course when used to name-call someone it takes on a lot more negative meaning.
Just referring to the word shouldn't necessitate having to not mention it, that's what little kids do. If you call someone that slur (or any other) be prepared for a backlash. But to limit speech when just referring to the word is asinine.

Please don't speak for all of Europe. I'm in Europe and I could possibly go to prison, be fined and lose my job for saying nigger.
"N-word" is how the media refers to it here too

It's as cringey as saying "he dropped an f bomb"
