None of the games my husband and I play did that to us.
I hate to say this, because as a gamer I know that everyone has different tastes and such, but at least in gaming it is avoidable; you just have to be willing to drop AAA titles like CoD and Fortnite. Again, I'm very sorry (I actually am, I wish they'd just let all of us play video games like we wanted), but try out games from other parts of the world and lesser known developers, or hell even older games that still hold up.
Escape from Tarkov is Russian so they don't care about any of this. A lot of the old Star Wars games still have ongoing communities. Any Japanese game is pretty damn safe, like Phantasy Star Online 2. Or hell, just stick to the slightly smaller AA studios: games like Risk of Rain don't have the development resources to do that kind of crazy shit at the drop of a hat.
But just so you know, if it doesn't hurt the player numbers for CoD that they did this, then they will do it again.
