15-6? Is that code for an “investigation” that will lead nowhere and we’ll never be updated
Article 15-6 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice is an Investigation into misconduct. It's serious for whomever approved that MOI (Memorandum of Instruction). It's not court-martial (jail) serious, but it's career ending serious.
The level of scrutiny that DoD Senior Leaders get from the P.C. mob and Congress is way more than you could probably imagine. I'm not sure how much the public is aware of Senior Leaders being called to testify on different matters before various committees. One slip up gets ends your career or worse, the Micheal Flynn treatment. As a result, many leaders have become politically risk averse. Add to that GEN's Kelly and Mattis (both highly respected men) selling out to the swamp or doing the unthinkable and wading into the political quagmire.
Navy Cpt’s bullshit
What the Navy CPT did was only wrong because he used an unsecured network to relay his concerns and as a result they were leaked to the press. Had he valid concerns, he has a SIPR (Classified Network) with which to communicate those concerns to his Senior Leaders so that the Chinese and the whole world weren't told that a U.S. Carrier was combat ineffective. IMO he should have been charged (after the 15-6 Investigation) for transmitting classified information over and unsecured network (pretty much the same charge for Vindeman). Those are merely my personal opinions and I know that I may not have all of the information.
Thank you for the well thought response. I have firsthand experience with commissioned officers and entrenched noncoms. I served in the Army as a 12B from 98-02. You brought up Mattis, which really blindsided me. I thought for sure he was ride or die.
It’s greatly discouraging to see a concerted roided-up, overzealous HR-type push in all the branches. Then add this “project cry about stuff” and a pamphlet dispersed by the US Army labeling MAGA hats as a symbol of “white supremacy” and it’s not too hard to believe that it’s all falling apart from within. Because that’s certainly how myself and fellow veterans I know feel about it. It’s terrible optics. Why pander to the demographic LEAST LIKLEY to volunteer and serve their country, while simultaneously slandering the demographic most likely to join? I can just see it now, a charging line of purple-haired 11B’s crying as they charge with their dildos in hand: “Reeeeeeeeee!!!!”
Please. Reverse course now.
I can agree that that Captain had legitimate concerns, but didn’t he skip his chain of command as well as use an unsecured means of transmission of highly classified information? A career officer highly trained in the regulations surrounding classified information? Didn’t he end up getting a promotion? I won’t swear to that promotion part, it’s just what I recall off the top of my head.
Can you at least see why I, and others, are deeply concerned with what we’re seeing? Asking us to just “unite and not divide” over legitimate concerns about agendas and misconduct is a bit much. I do agree that uniting is a good thing, but all parties have to be playing by the same rules. That’s the whole reason the military is supposed to be apolitical.
I think that Mattis blindsided everyone, Kelly too.
Navy CPT: As a carrier commander afloat, he has several reporting channels. He didn't jump chain of command, but imagine an email and CCing others. The people in the TO line were legit. So as a 12B, imagine the BDE CDR of the Devil BDE (82nd Airborne) who is on DRF/ IRF/ SRF (Fight Tonight Global Response Unit) sending an unclassified email to the Division CDR and CCing 20-30 other staff members stating that Devil BDE is combat ineffective. That is unthinkable, right? To the Navy CPT's credit, he had COVID 19, and up until that point had been a stud. IMO the COVID impaired his judgement, that's why the Navy didn't charge him. That plus the political fallout.
I can see why you are concerned. I'm concerned as well. The least of my concerns is Dr. Esper though. I was seriously asking because I've met him and he seemed like a very great dude. I can't imagine him as a SJW, he's all about fixing problems and taking care of Service members.

I’ll have to take your word for it, as I’ve never met him. I just see stories like this one and this one and had to form my own opinion of him.
