So people are supposed to accept this excuse from a politician for straight up fraud? That it spiralled out of control? It sounds like it was fraudulent from the very start, it’s not like he believed someone else’s lie and pushed that or something, he was the one authoring the lies. In what world is that spiralling out of control? It’s out of control the minute you make up fake stories to push an agenda.
