Totally agree. I was appalled when my local paper took the job away from my son and gave it too an adult in a car who could barely toss my paper accurately onto the end of my driveway.
When I was a kid, when it snowed I walked up and down my block offering to shovel driveways. I didn’t have a price, I just asked for whatever they felt like paying me, and I made a nice bit of spending money. I have never once as an adult had a kid knock on my door to offer to shovel the snow, or rake the leaves, or anything like that. Sad.
