I think by renal replacement they mean CRRT (continuous renal replacement therapy). It’s a form of hemodialysis. They are calling it a potential side effect, so that is worrisome. But people in the ICU frequently have kidney injuries for one reason or another, so it’s hard to say. I still think the benefit of Remdesivir is minuscule compared to the cost. Also the studies show it doesn’t reduce mortality on critically ill people anyway. The only people it claims to help a small amount are people with mild oxygen requirements.
The hype surrounding this drug disappeared quick like. What was it... 6/8 weeks ago Fauci was touting that shit? And then Poof. Now we know why. He's also reponsible for the suppression of CHQ

Granted, I heard whispers from Chinese doctors of remdesivir being effective back in January and February, but it's possible they were probably trying out different things or spreading misinformation at that time. Nearly 5 months later, big pharma in the states IS FINALLY pushing for it? Seems like an extremely lazy and sloth-like response time to me.

The drug did appear to reduce "viral lode" in upper respiratory. But it was too late for the patients, 2 of whom died anyway
