When a judge gives a 500 year sentence, it's because he wants everyone in the future to know what a heinous shit bag the guy was, and that he would've given him the death penalty if he could've. These people are not to be released for any reason whatsoever. This was an uninformed decision by SCOTUS. Uniformed and completely lacking in common sense. And I won't hear about any of this "well they upheld the law" wouldn't have been the first time they re wrote a law.
