Sometimes I think this whole COVID thing is a plot to return to better days. Stores are closing at 7:00 so the employees can see their families more than ever. Shitty woke corporations making fools of themselves driving business away from them. What’s left? Go home to the family and cook a brat on the grill, talk about the day with your family, get closer, know each other again. Then I member the pay doesn’t match those days. Maybe it will shortly. How cool would that be.

Once parents see what a trainwreck the virtual schooling through local schools is going to be, people will be taking their kids out in droves, which, then keeps them from one of the main indoctrination centers.

But hearing about the stuff going on and knowing people who are forced to push that agenda makes me sick. We never had politics pushed on us. It was a thing of while you’re here, we own you. Not while you’re here, you own the teachers. We had a couple scumbag teachers that talked about their glory days, but other than that it was the topic in hand from start to finish.

Homemade black bean soup with a dollop of homemade cumin-lime sour cream is delicious, easy and cheap to make. The biggest expense is the chicken stock unless you make that from scratch also.
Get the dry beans and soak them overnight before you cook. It's a world of difference from the canned stuff.
Pressure cook the beans with just water, bay leaf, and green bell pepper cut in quarters.
Make a sofrito separately with diced onions, diced bell peppers, and olive oil or lard. When the sofrito is cooked, add a lot of finely minced garlic, some oregano & cumin.
Take sofrito off the heat and add it to the cooked beans. Add a shot of sherry and a little bit of vinegar, then cook the beans liquid down to your desired consistency. Add a little bit of sugar and salt to taste at the end.
Popeyes is good shit. My brother worked at one back in the day and would bring home fucktons of it every night. We'd all get baked and nom the fuck out of it.
Pro tip: mix them up. Add salt, a few dashes of chili powder, a few dashes of cumin, eat them with tortilla chips instead of a fork. You're welcome, America.
