This brought tears to my eyes.It reminded me of my grandparents in Poland when after WW2 the soviet communists took over the country.They had no way to escape.They had to witness the prosecution,the murders,the deportations to gulags in Siberia of anybody who owned land,or didn't want Poland to be under Soviet rule or really for any reason.They were silent all their lives cause you were not safe to say anything around anybody. They went to their graves fearing the communists.And I grew up in the 70's not knowing any of it cause the history has been rewritten by the Soviets.I had to recite poems praising Lenin in the 1st grade and write essays about the great comrade Stalin ,Poland's loving father and protector.It fucking boils my blood when I think about it.We were thaught to worship our murderers and didn't know any better because the people who witnessed the real history were executed,sent to gulags ,or silenced by the communist .
