I think many of the riots participants are drug addicts that are experiencing the supply shortage from covid actions. It generally comes into the country by human trafficking on the southern border, in vehicles (business and commercial), and by boat. Florida is a big hub for drug trafficking (and human).
Having the military do drug interdiction is all about cutting off the deep states black money supply. This is a big brain move.

I'm sick of the tax dollars wasted on unfixable problems like drug addiction. I want legalization. Kids that are mature enough, or curious enough, can take tours of "drug hospices" where the addicts who choose death rather than sobriety go to OD.
I get the feeling and about a decade or so I thought the same.
BUT, and here is the big but, people on mind altering drugs are not just harming themselves but are a danger to others. If they just killed themselves, while I don't like it, my libertarian philosophy says it's your life. But when you put others in danger, and that is the case (look at mass shootings, almost all were on mind altering drugs), it's a different matter.
