I'm all aboard the trump train, but to be fair, the administration is considering changing the definition of pistol braces (why?) which will turn many of our firearms in to ATF item SBRs requiring a $200 tax. I think it’s fair to criticize Trump on his 2nd amendment stance, not so much for bump stocks but because his support for reg flag laws “Take the guns first, go through due process second“ is absolutely a terrible stance. But I’m still voting for Trump because Biden or anybody else the Dems try to sneak in would be even worse.
This is pretty much my argument when it comes to anything regarding a Republican who might not be fully on board with Trump's policies. Don't get me wrong, RINOs and do-nothing Repubs are still fucking annoying and let's not even get into the literal party traitor Mitt Romney. But when people say we need to primary staunch conservatives like Lindsay Graham or Mitch McConnell, I'm like...who the fuck else are you going to vote for? I am all for building up strong primary contenders who have a more Trump-centric platform, but you can't just do it on a whim within a single election cycle.
I'd rather vote for someone who agrees with Trump 70% of the time than someone who agrees with him 0% of the time. And I also don't fully agree with everything the Trump admin does, but I'm not going to fucking vote for a Democrat in a thousand years if it means letting gun grabbers into office.
