I'm leaning towards this. I think I've redpilled a couple people, but if they aren't there now, they aren't going to make it home. Just distancing myself from them.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
I remember hearing this in church about marriages, and undoubtedly it's fantastic advice there. Head off all of the BIGGEST POSSIBLE FIGHTS by marrying someone who agrees with all the core things you believe.
But it totally is true about everything else. Don't try to be equal partners with people who will fight you every step of the way. You don't have to hate them or work against them, but just don't put them in a position where they will be holding the reins of whatever horse you're driving.
LISTEN TO THE PEDES IN THIS THREAD. I had to learn thr hard way, but it's true.
People will only change if they want to (sincerely, in their heart and soul), not because someone told them to. Generally it takes an earth shattering event (to them) for true fundamental change to take place.

I was single for decades and intended to stay that way until I die.
Then I started dating someone that was so great, I changed my mind. Got married.
It's funny how she's swung ME towards conservative policies.
For instance, five years ago, I was a full-on supporter of Open Borders. She advised that I do some research on it, so I got the Ann Coulter audiobook "Adios America" and had my mind blown by it.
I'm single now and have no intentions either way. If I meet the right woman, cool. I'm in no rush to attach myself to someone who might be the wrong woman. I don't need a girlfriend to validate my existence, like so many around me seem to act like. I doubt I could be made my conservative by the right woman, but damn it would be HOT if it could.
My wife, and good friend never paid attention to politics because they thought it was pointless, boring, they were brainwashed, etc. I've been a Rush Limbaugh republican since a child. Anyway, both are in their Late 30's, and both are now hardcore Trump supporters with just some mild red pilling. This is prime time for sneaking in redpills. Especially talking about communism an its history and how it has failed in all aspects, over and over again and till this day. No one is happier under communism, and many die. Gun's are also a big deal in the age of Defund the Police. I am predicting a Mondale style soaking, and for the media to blame russia again. The twitter mob are practically marxist mind numb bots and don't really have that much support, though they do have some and they must be defeated via redpills to those who can be saved.
I am predicting a Mondale style soaking, and for the media to blame russia again.
In 1979, the news had daily stories about all the crazy shit going on in Iran. George Bush made a deal with Iran, and the day that Reagan took office, Iran released the American hostages.
I think that Biden is going to win, and when he wins, the quarantine and the BLM protests will "spontaneously" end.
I think that they're doing this to condition people to vote Democrat. I think they want to "sear" it into people's brains that life absolutely sucks under Republican rule.
Of course, you and I both know that Covid and BLM are not something that Trump can control.
But they are going to create this association in people's brains, so that they vote Democrat fo-rev-er. It's almost a Pavlovian thing. In 2028 or 2040, people are still going to remember how utterly shitty 2020 was, and they're going to associate that shittiness with Trump - even though it's not his fault.
I saw something similar with my grandparents: the great depression scarred them, their behaviors were influenced by something that was 50 years in the past.
That's why we have to shine light on who is actually making life suck. For anyone with half a brain it's easy to see. Forget about red pilling a bunch of zombies on line. Go out and spend time with your family. Strong families are the best weapon against this toxic idealogy
If that's the case then we need to make their lives suck every time a democrat wins. We can count on the dems to screw up the economy on their own. We have to find a way to make life annoying for them whenever the dems are in power (hopefully they never are).
Freedom of speech, individual responsibility, and the free market. Private property, cultural icons of all shapes and sizes. On board for America and the people living there.
A lot of people discredit him as a lefty and don't know half of it. He's definitely among the silent majority, and keeps his voice loud and outspoken. One dude on his podcast is a walk away leftie that has been cancelled everywhere but Tim's platform. Don't listen to enemy propaganda, the people are with us.
This...when you talk to people who aren’t completely devoid of common sense you can tell the wheel is turning towards Trump. I use to argue why Trump is the only thing in the way of crazy shit coming to the US but ppl shrug it off but then things changed when I started asking them questions that eventually made them realize how everything the Dems are doing is completely not based on reality.
I listen to Tim because although he claims to be a 'milktoast fence-sitter', I can usually trust that what he says is the truth. I don't like some of his leftist views, but when it comes to unbiased news, beggers can't be choosers. It sux that he has to work algorithms. We need a better system for getting unbiased news.
No, he takes awhile to make points because he's new to this worldview. He's only now in the past few years seen how insane the left is. Conservatives have known for decades and know no amount of appeasement or compromise will ever please a leftist mob.
It's the same thing with the Weinstein bros. The 1 interview of James O'Keefe by Eric Weinstein laid bare how naïve the newcomers are, even though Eric is a genius in his field. They don't realize how truly disgusting the left fights, nor how this has been going on for decades.
I recommend watching that interview. Also the entire comment section, which is mostly Eric's fanbase, points out how blind and naïve he's being in thinking O'Keefe goes too far with hidden cam footage.
There are plenty of Democrats, Independents, and other "fence-sitter" types out there. It is time to start talking past the corporate narratives and to them directly. Tell them you are interested in learning their views and listen to them. Respond carefully and share your concerns fairly. Ask them to consider, ask them to reconsider, and do not allow corporate narratives to dominate your conversation.
Get into convictions and root issues, offer real solutions to liberal challenges. Promise a bright future and ask them to join you and a few other supporters for a greater discussion. Be the bipartisan bridge the MSM pretends they are.
Well, this is actually a common error. When you purchase a gun online, it will only be shipped to someone with a Federal Firearms License that allows them to sell it. The sale is recorded. The gun never gets to your door without you going to the store and showing ID, getting a background check ran, and picking it up in person (as well as paying a fee for that service).
Thanks very much for the great resource. I didn't know any of this. With all this in mind, should the background checks be expanded? I would like to make it harder for school shootings to take place, but I worry that expanding the background checks would infringe on the ordinary citizen's ability to purchase guns.
I'm going to assume you're kinda new to the gun world based on your comment.
First, the term "assault-type" weapon is mostly used to scare the public into thinking it's a super scary gun that will attack people. They are rifles. Assault rifle is a very specific firearm:
a rapid-fire, magazine-fed automatic rifle designed for infantry use
Civilians cannot own automatic firearms without jumping through very difficult and expensive hoops.
Second, buying online is no different than buying in person. The lower receiver is what is defined as the "gun" and you still have to pass a background check and get it sent to an FFL dealer in order to actually receive it.
So before you suggest more regulation, maybe look at what is already out there. One of the reasons we have some of the absolutely stupid laws that we currently do is because a large number of the population is completely ignorant on the subject and have never bothered to exercise their 2A rights.
I am fairly new, yes, I've only shot a few times recreationally.
Thanks for your comments, I indeed did need to do more research to educate myself. Some of the other comments on this thread were very helpful. I wonder what you think about expanding the background checks. It seems like the best way to prevent bad actors from acquiring guns, but I'm worried it would infringe on the ordinary American's ability to get them.
Another thing we need to be doing is taking all of our friends shooting. I'm investing in a new 4x4 and some really great outdoor cookware. So, the opposite of what you're saying.
We should also be working towards getting sport shooting back into schools and teach firearms safety along with proper scouting again.
Before this we probably need to dig our heels in very deep on forcing the left to reconcile criminals with the crimes they commit and the policies our system has which creates, enables, or tolerates them.
Thanks very much for the thoughts. I've only shot a few times and certainly actually doing it changed how I felt about it.
What do you mean by your last paragraph? Are you advocating for stricter punishments?
Not officially, but like many of us he seems in the silent majority category. The Timcast has a guy that's been cancelled for supporting Trump, says a lot if you ask me. Quite frankly after all of this bullshit, I appreciate a truly neutral and unbiased view.
We've been here for over a century, remember in history class how the KKK intimidated voters back in the day? Same shit, same party, same agenda, except now they can't get the animal back in the cage when they need to.
Gotta remember, we've fought a civil war once before. It can happen again.
Losing your livelihood because you support the current President of the USA.
How the fuck did we get here?
Communists really play the long game.
For instance, the USSR was sowing the seeds of anti-semitism in the Muslim world seventy years ago. It took 20-30 years for it to bear fruit. Arguably, a lot of the unrest we've seen was due to propaganda that was spread in the 50s and 60s.
Of course, the USSR isn't solely responsible, the Middle East has always been a hot spot. But the same is true of the United States; race relations are our Achilles Heel.
I disagree. At this point, nothing will save you if you don't support Trump. Even Tim Pool is on board.
EDIT: To the people doubting or unaware of new Tim since the riots started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y39ZTTWuz2c

Kind of like when an alcoholic has to hit rock bottom before being able to really commit to AA.
Profound thoughts, I like it.

The only way that demented fuck "wins" is if the dems cheat and get away with it.
And if that happens, I anticipate an immediate countrywide firefight, thousands or tens of thousands dead within a week.
I would give almost anything to see one day in 2021 right now.

Voting for the GEOTUS.
That's like saying 'end online free speech'. That's a no from me commie.
That's already happened kek.

Yeah, I've been watching Tim since the Kavanaugh hearings. I think Tim is legit, however, restricted in what he can say, due to YouTube censorship.
That's the whole problem. I don't want to listen for 17 fucking minutes for something that could have been expressed/reported in 2 minutes.
It's unbelievable how much we've allowed tech companies to control discourse in America.
Today, Reddit banned a sub for the capital crime of... being for women.
That was it. It was simply a Reddit for women. Their crime, of course, was that they specified that forum members had to be biological women.
That was enough to get it banned as "a hate sub."
