For instance, the USSR was sowing the seeds of anti-semitism in the Muslim world seventy years ago. It took 20-30 years for it to bear fruit. Arguably, a lot of the unrest we've seen was due to propaganda that was spread in the 50s and 60s.
Of course, the USSR isn't solely responsible, the Middle East has always been a hot spot. But the same is true of the United States; race relations are our Achilles Heel.
