He has been punished far more than is fair already. Every day in jail would've been an injustice.

IF he actually lied, i think it should be a small fine max and you go on your way.

And they are letting murderers and rapists out of prison because of the China virus, this would have been bullshit.

Lying to the police should only be a crime if the thing you lied about was related to a crime, and only if they can prove that you withholding evidence would have had an impact on their potential ability to charge a crime.

If theres no crime to "lie" about then there should be no charges for lying.

Fuck that, they can lie to us. Why should we be held accountable for doing their jobs for them?

No kidding. How is lying even a crime when you have the 5th ammendment and you are allowed to simply state "I do not recall"??? Build a proper case that requires no verbal information from the defendant.

Sundai Pichai, Mark Zuckerberg, James Comey, John Brennan all lied Congress. Their lies were drastically worse than even the accusations against Stone. Shit Bannon most likely did too to set Stone up.

Process crime in a sham investigation. Guilt in that scenario becomes so meaningless that they can't be allowed to ruin somebodys life over it. They could do it to anybody.

I think the optics of this are poor but I don't care, it needed to be done.

The time for hand-wringing over optics is over. Time to energize the base. We need action like this. We do not need any more strongly worded tweets.

I've always heard the President of the United States is the most powerful man on the planet. If that's actually true... no more words. Make shit happen. Whiny tweets make you appear weak. Again, fuck optics!
