I am a healthcare provider. You would not believe how the whole healthcare disparity thing is shoved down our throats in school. It is absolute utter bullshit-so many minorities have Medicaid and do not have to pay one dime for any of their healthcare. Why in the world would there be any disparity?
Ps Many of the Hispanic people I care for are so grateful for our care. Not sure how often they seek care, though.
I work as a certified pharmacy tech. I truly believe if there is any ‘disparity’ in healthcare for the poor defenseless people of color, it’s because they are too fucking lazy and don’t have their priorities straight.

I used to fix [machines] in my own shop. I would often decide to comp someone I knew was broke or offer very very low prices to them. Many would claim poverty then show up with consumer shit or high or drunk on stuff that cost more than my services. Fuck that freebie nonsense.
Everyone knows this because it’s reality. Was behind a black kid last year at a Walgreens where he spent $87 on Gatorade and bags of candy and paid for it with an EBT card.
Yep, have a family member with a dental practice. When she first started, she took Medicare/Medicaid patients. Within 3 months she mostly gave up on it*, mostly because people wouldn't show up for appointments. Meanwhile, she's paying for receptionists to do nothing and getting lousy re-imbursement rates from the government.
She did however have one guy come in saying that he was a bit broke at the moment, didn't want to take charity, but he mows lawns, some construction work, and maybe they could work out a deal.
She talked to the guy, he seemed legit. And so they worked out a deal of lawn care for dental care, they worked out a deal for how much mowing the lawn would cost vs. filling a cavity. Would have taken about a year worth of lawn mowing to pay the debt, but he hustled, and paid it in cash after 3 months.
Now he's the go to guy she hires for home improvement projects, and if he and his construction crew are too busy, he knows a guy.
(*She still takes child patients on medical assistance, because no point in punishing kids for their parents mistakes.)
Disagree with you about the punishing the kids thing. That's the same logic leftist use to justify allowing illegal immigrant children to stay in America. If the children don't suffer for their parents bad decisions, the poor practices continue generation after generation. At some point, the kids need to suffer. Sounds harsh, it is, that's life.
