Take out solid life insurance policies on the providers in the household. Work with an estate planner and have all your assets, NOK, power of attorney, inheritances, etc, laid out. This is all intended to shelter you and the things you've built up from adverse actions taken against you (by the government or private parties) and to take care of your family in the event something happens to you.
If any harm comes to them because their weapons were confiscated may they be judged accordingly. That includes the law enforcement personnel that followed this garbage.
