I was sitting around a campfire with my girlfriend and two lefties. The lefties started shitting on trump and my girlfriend masterfully opened their minds to the idea that maybe he wasn't so bad and actually does some good for the world. They'd literally never heard or considered this and so they had no rebuttal and were surprisingly open. I wish I had a recording of the conversation so that I could learn from it better.

We should all be learning persuasion technique instead of giving up.

Not everybody is hopeless. The one lefty talked about it the next day and said the conversation was extremely constructive and mind expanding for her. And she's one of the most lefty lefties I know.
