An OP mentioned the ability to add a dash ('-') in front of a word to exclude that word from the search results. I'm pretty sure this works with most search engines but have only tested with DDG and G00gle.

I searched for "democrats founded the kkk" and was initially presented with the fake news versions of this fact. So, for each of the left-wing websites, I excluded their name at the end of my search string.

After several iterations, I came up with a string that got at least the first couple of pages of results to be less-fake. The string so far is:

-cnn -usatoday -apnews -washingtonpost -pbs -politifact -npr -politico -quora -salon -yahoo

Is it possible for us as a group to develop a complete string of sites to avoid that we can copypasta to the end of our web searches?

You might not want to exclude those words, as often articles will references news stories from these sites.

What you want to do is exclude these domains from the search results. I’m not sure how to do that, but google has a site filter. For example, if you only want to see results from cnn.com, you’d add this to your query: “site:cnn.com”.
You might have to experiment with this until you find out how to exclude domains

Or just do the reverse. Create your own search engine with only reliable sources ...

This is a Google search engine feature and it not likely to work the same anyplace else.
