My race is always “other”. “White” isn’t a race and they rarely have “Caucasian”, or the very specific “mix of mostly Irish and Scandinavian with a good percentage of Native American thrown in for balance”.
This. I’m as white as can be. The bank, government, employers, whatever wanna be truly color blind? They’ll get my race as other.
Everything should be based on merit and qualifications, but then there wouldn’t be any Laquishas at the top of any Fortune 500 companies so we can’t have that.
Job applications and especially college applications shouldn’t allow sex, race, or even your name. Mine’s a dead giveaway.
