(AL) Gov. Ivy issued a mandatory mask order last week. I have refused to wear a mask at work and in public. The worse to happen so far is some random ass Walmart people greeter stopped me as I walked in and said "Sir! Masks are mandatory!" I replied back. "Yeah. That's what I've heard!" As I continue about my business.
I don't understand why anyone would be afraid to tell big gov. And Karen To fuck off by refusing to wear a mask. Who's going to enforce it? Some punk ass kid greeter in Walmart? 😂
Law enforcement is not going to come out over a mask. Hell, a lot of police aren't wearing masks either. The more we all keep leaving masks at home, the sooner people will stop caring about them.
I think the elderly, who are scared both by the virus and by the insanity of our times, will continue wearing them; and the low-IQ fearmongers and fearmongered, will continue wearing FOREVER.

The closest Walmart to me has employees at the door to harass people or mask check or whatever they're doing. The Walmart 15 minutes away have the employees appearing to do the same shit but also have sheriffs with them. That Walmart absolutely does demand non maskers leave and return only when they have a mask. The sheriffs are there to make sure you leave when asked to do so by the employees.
How about these very same "patriot" sheriffs that have made these pandering statements they're not going to enforce it? Don't kid yourself. They're going to enforce it. They're going to run over to Walmart and cart you off to jail in the blink of an eye. It's called trespassing, and believe me, these same sheriffs are going to vigorously enforce these face mask bans with the publicity shield of trespassing. Even if you don't get arrested for trespassing, these businesses are refusing service. Want to be free to breathe? Be prepared to not eat, and if you don't like that, these "patriot" sheriffs will take you to jail for trespassing. I feel sorry for these clerks and managers because they know it's bullshit just like we do, but their hands are tied just like ours are. The damage has been done. We're stuck with this, perhaps even after these dictators save face and pull their orders.
All of the counties with basically no COVID cases are not going to enforce this. They weren't in the beginning, either. Wise County doesn't seem to be forcing the issue. Abilene specifically said they won't.
