You would have a hard time making the US Office. The second episode would have probably tanked it (Diversity Day).

My favorite episode! Democrats have no sense of humors. Its because they are always on alert waiting for someone to tell them if they should be offended, so they have no time to laugh or think for themselves.

Im honestly surprised Netflix hasn't pulled that episode like they have with other shows.

There is a pretty sure fire way to get rid of them.. just ignore them like we have for the past 1000 years.

Outraged basement dwellers are driving culture and politics. And they account for a tiny fraction of the population.

As I often say, the worst fate they can imagine is the quiet death of irrelevance, so I attempt to offer that.

Family guy and South Park would absolutely not get made today either. They've been grandfathered in.

Holy shit the one where Randy says Jogger on Jeopardy and has to literally kiss Jesse Jackson's ass, which also happens to be the one where cartman fights a midget... No way that would get made in a million years

South Park would never get off the ground. One of the earliest episodes was the starving African kid, Starvin' Marvin. It is just endless jokes you can't make. Timmy the retarded kid in the wheelchair as the lead singer in the metal band. The premise was who cares if you think it's wrong, the kid is enjoying himself. You're the one who is offended. Not Timmy.

lmao starvin marvin was based since they had sally struthers was eating all the food meant for the ethiopians

you really couldn't make the starvin marvin episode today, because raging lefty and professional wrestling commentator Jim Cornette actually got canceled by his fellow lefties because, in a way to describe somebody as being tough, said that the guy could "walk through the entire country of ethiopia with a bucket of KFC under one arm and come out without a scratch"

South Park has failed us... They made fun of PC culture and then gave in to it. Matt and Trey, what happened to you.

Try making Blackadder's Private Plane episode today.

Re-watching Sopranos right now. Every single episode, we comment "cancelled" at every point in which it would be cancelled today. Happens 3-4 times per episode.

I watched “Stand and Deliver” last night (on Netflix).

It’s an inspiring mostly true story about a Hispanic High School Math Teacher in 1982 teaching troubled youths. In real life 27% of all ethnic Mexican students who passed AP math exam IN THE COUNTRY came from that one high school. In real life 100% of the school is minority and 93% of students are economically disadvantaged. Amazing story about hard work that leads to opportunity.

The movie couldn’t be made today. The things the teacher says to motivate students (jokes about student getting pregnant, tough love jokes).

Probably the most inspiring movie I’ve seen about how hard work and determination can give a person opportunity in America would be cancelled if somehow made nowadays. And the climax phrase yelled by teacher about racism in America...in 1982, is amazing (I won’t spoil it).

We are being brainwashed today.

I watched the BBC version a short while ago, there are jokes about race that would have him arrested live on CNN at 4 am if he made them today.

Sanford and Son

seaside_dreams 1 point ago +1 / -0

That show was mean to everyone. Fred Sanford made Archie Bunker look like a nice man.

Don't even get me started on how anti white Good Times was.

The reason Jerry Seinfeld quit stand-up. Even before it got out of hand.

The Office finally got watchable after Steve Carell left.

This is exactly why there are almost no good shows these days. Even South Park has lost its edge.

Anything even remotely edgy or too accurate gets cancelled. I was pissed at first, but honestly I see the silver lining now. It's making me go back to actual hobbies such as drawing, reading, practicing survival skills, etc.

Not to mention I'm saving lots of money having canceled all my streaming services.

Blazing Saddles...

Need I say more?

monk_of_trump 1 point ago +1 / -0

Just watch space force and see what lame comedy they have to use these days. I was hoping for "the office" and I got.. well... bored.

zettapede 1 point ago +1 / -0

Plus nobody actually works from an office anymore...

tashnag_01 0 points ago +1 / -1

Why aren't the left cancelling The Office?

I'll tell you why, because they love that show. Everyone does. It's wonderfully written and acted comedy.

They won't cancel things they like themselves. Hypocrites!
