This should be a preferred method over mail-in. It’s still totally unsecured, but fewer possibilities for malpractice than sending it through the post.
Yeah I mean at least you can get grainy security footage of someone stuffing the ballot box. At least there isn't someone alone with the ballots in a truck that can pick up and drop off ballots at some warehouse for "fixing"
Educate people. My state WA is mail-in or Dropbox only with an online voter portal:

They mail out all ballots which can be returned by USPS or at the dropboxes which are at drive-up locations like library parking lots.
