My parents were boomers. They lived in a time when news was not as available as it is now. They had no idea what was happening. They were extremely hard workers and loved their country. If they had known, I know they would have fought as hard as we are now.
The generation after them, my generation are more to blame. We've had information like no generation before us. We ignored the obvious warning signs as our churches turned to a theology of appeasement. Pastors encouraged everyone to ignore the world and let God take care of it. My generation is the one that accepted tax exempt status for churches (despite Jesus saying give to Caesar what is caesara) with the condition that churches couldnt participate in elections.
Then came the millennials. A generation of selfish, lazy, entitled kids. No more needs to be said about them.
So to blame onr generation for our problems today is as idiotic as blaming all police for a black person being shot.
