As a President Trump supporter with some mental illness (and as someone who works in inpatient mental health care) I really think we need some serious mental health reform in this country.
Most recently I had a patient who is a registered sex offender. During a full blown schizophrenic episode he grabbed the breast of a female first responder who was trying to help him. He was then charged with sexual assault. He had to register for 10 years, and he’s almost done with that; but because of it he has limited access to public housing and a lot of other issues on top of his (at times) debilitating schizophrenia.
A good lawyer probably could have helped him with this, but hiring and retaining a good lawyer is next to impossible for him to do on his own.
It sounds like there are two mentally ill people, not one. Thank JFK for being a pussy on that one.
The mentally ill, in a ill educated country of 320 million plus is a fucking lot of mentally ill people.
