You don't. You tell them to fuck off.

THIS. BIGLY.

Rob_Belmonte 13 points ago +13 / -0

Correct answer. You don't even have to tell them off. Let them burn themselves out.

You can't argue with a low IQ crazy person. Just let them make their points.

After they make their points ask them to back it up with evidence.

They'll then insult you.

I had lunch with a particular friend yesterday for the first time since March. Lets call him Teddy.

We use to email multiple times per day but that stopped several months back when we are arguing about masks. He just stopped replying.

Then, last week, out of the blue, he asked if I wanted to go to lunch. No... I didn't really want to but one of the rules I have is if a request is made of me that I can reasonably fulfill, I do the request. This qualified so we had lunch yesterday. He had his mask ... I had mine in my pocket the whole time because I didn't know what the restaurant was going to do. Turns out, they did nothing.

A queer part of the story is his background. I'm 61. He is probably 65. He has long hair, drove a motorcycle until it fell apart from lack of use, smokes (refuses to vape), has had a stint put in, doesn't exercise or do anything healthy at all. So... my guess is that his self image is some type of bad ass biker dude that drinks, smokes, whores around (at least in the past). Yet he is utterly terrified of the CCP Virus.

We started talking at lunch, one of the first things he said was that he was outraged at Trump because Trump totally screwed up the PPEs. I've not seen anything at all about Trump screwing up the PPEs. His proof is some news clip of "Trump's son in law" (who I don't even know who that might be) saying blah blah blah about the PPEs.

He agrees that the big focus is China and he agrees that no one but Trump would have taken on China. To me (and I said so), that is game over. I don't give a fuck about what Trump did about the fake virus. But he wouldn't hear any of that. Trump... god damn it... screwed up the PPEs and he was outraged and focused on that.

"So, what about Flynn?", I asked. "Huh???" he replied.

"So, what about the changes Trump has done about China and the stock market?" I asked... "Huh???" he replied.

"So, what about HCQ? Turns out Trump was right." I said.

"Oh, I quit following anything about that because Trump pissed me off so much."

On and on like this it went.

Another example is "Trump doesn't lead" according to him. And then later in the conversation he bitched because the CDC wanted to keep the schools closed (according to him) but Trump overruled. I didn't think of it at the time but driving home it hit me that Trump is leading ... just now the way that MSM or Teddy wants Trump to lead. You can't have it both ways. You can say I disagree with Trump's leadership but you can't say he isn't leading AND bitch about every leadership decision that Trump is making.

One of the things I bring to the table is a horrible childhood and what most consider a rather miraculous emotional and spiritual journey through various 12 step programs, counseling, etc. So at one point when he was describing why Trump did what he did as being arrogant, narcissistic, and only caring about re-election, I pointed out that that was all just Teddy's projection. His response to this was something to the effect that he has never said anything bad about XYZ where XYZ is some particular military family that I guess Trump must have disparaged some point. I vaguely recall something like that way long time ago. Long story short, he has no idea what projection is.

One of the things that keeps popping up in my head is what one of my counselors said within the past year or so. Actually two things. One was "Teddy isn't very self aware is he?" and the other was "Why are you wasting your time with Teddy?"

I think something clicked yesterday. I'm very detached and settled right now. I have no desire to run away from Teddy but I have no need to engage with him any more. I doubt, if / when he asks again to have lunch, that I will not go and simply say that I'm pretty sure I can't help him. He seems desperately attached to his anger and fears and only him and God can free him of that.

That's pretty much what it comes down to. Low energy losers that can only criticize what others do with no end in site. At some point they'll even bitch about the English language if they can grab it as a thread to hang onto. They are the retarded kids at school that made everyone lose recess, except now they're trying to make everyone lose the country and they are too stupid to realize it. Bet he spends money on iphones, starcucks, nike, foolsball tickets. . . . . .

People don't understand what a leader is. A leader doesn't run the show, a leader identifies a problem, gets the best people on it, and moves on.

"Trump ignoring Covid!!!!"

No, there's nothing for him to do - everyone has everything they need to get the job done, so his role is done.

20 years of pussy hat presidents have really screwed us up.

1683commenceagain 5 points ago +5 / -0

Another example is "Trump doesn't lead" according to him.

President Trump shut down travel from China even as the 'experts' claimed it was a terrible idea.

He also refused to attack Iran even as the whole political elite and his military advisors were clamoring for Gulf War III: The Deep State Strikes Back.

'Lack of leadership' is the single worst and far fetched attack on president Trump you can imagine.

The U.S. WAS the laughing stock, until 2016 that was. Now there is a lot of support for Trump here in Europe. It's only the left that screams so it may look like Europe is laughing but that's B.s. peace

Sounds like my coworker from Holland.

With my cucked colleague, he actually had the nerve to say it was OK for Hilary to have her illegal email server, because Ivanka apparently used AN OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE EMAIL ACCOUNT to communicate with a personal friend and that's just as bad as what Clinton did.

Fuck these people. They're beyond worthless.

Your "friend" thinks you deserve to die.

Your "friend" would see you be sent to a gulag and be proud of their report of your wrongthink that got you there.

Your "friend" hates you.

It's impossible to reason people out of convictions that they reached by a route other than reason. This is why the term Civil War keeps coming up. They cannot be reasoned with, and they want to keep pushing everyone to accept their lunacy.

Ask why the whole DC establishment as well as the corporate media (all who exist to circle jerk and enrich themselves) are so triggered by this guy. Ask why nobody bothered to renegotiate NAFTA, or ask other members of NATO to meet their treaty obligations. The list goes on and on...

Friends are who you call to help you move or to drive you to the airport. These kids today, with their rock and roll and short skirts thinking jackasses on Twatter are friends. SMH Since these claims are easily refuted ask for proof. Get called a racist. Laugh, say "still voting Trump," go outside and get some fresh air and exercise.

A few good friends, or even one, is more valuable than a thousand lukewarm acquaintances. My grandma, born 1890, used to say that being bored is a sign that you're a boring person. Being able to entertain yourself, as well as being able to support yourself including emotionally, is a good indicator of mental well being. Having a good friend you trust and can rely upon is a good supplement to that. All of this modern drive to constant distraction and addiction to dopamine hits from internet likes is corrosive to civilization.

Chastisement is what shuts them up.

Roast them mercilessly. Well spoken words are like holy water to these idiots.

The Bible, history, and classic literature will give you a million perspectives to roast the peasants with.

They seem to innately then project that they know you are a noble. Peasants!!

How do you guys even reason with people like this?

Judge Judy said, if you see crazy people, best not to go and try to reason with the crazy people.

Her lesson was along those lines.

He's only President to enrich himself

A guy with billions takes a job that pays $400,000 a year, which he then donates to the taxpayers.

Everyone knows where he got his money, building cities.

Nobody knows how legally Clinton, Biden, Barry, Pelosi, Feinstein got their money.

This person at least could have come up with someone new. They are stuck in 2016, maybe 2015.

laughing stock of the world

Protector of the world.

Food producer for the world.

Money giver for the world.

4
rentfREEEE_since2016 4 points ago +4 / -0

Everybody here is saying “you don’t argue with them.” True, but if you have other people around that are REASONABLE people, you make a calm, dispassionate case for the contrary.

Ie: “he’s only president to enrich himself”

answer: “I’m glad you brought that up. Because your absolutely right, far to many politicians are using their offices to enrich themselves and it 100% has to stop. like you point out in Ukraine, Hunter Biden took about $600k a year for a job he clearly wasn’t qualified for, to influence Washington

That’s why I was really happy to hear that trump was totally divesting himself from the family company in 2016, and rescinded his salary for the office of POTUS...“

You’re mild red pill isn’t for him. It’s for the people watching you. Trust me. They are out there and they are looking for a reason amidst all this craziness.

Pretty simple: how does hating Trump fix any of the real problems America has?

It doesn't - it just makes you easier to control.

--

In 2011 we were all talking about ending foreign wars, auditing the federal reserve, arresting criminal bankers and reinstating the firewall between investment banking and retail banking, and bringing meaningful work back to America. Obama crushed that and now all we do is scream about Trump rather than acting collectively to address the aforementioned real, day to day, problems in America.

I think it was Mark Twain who said never argue with an idiot. Before too long, people won't be able to tell who the idiot is.

3
Ravenant 3 points ago +4 / -1

I have found that reasoning doesn't work directly. Planting seeds can work depending on the person. I ask why all the left preaches is hate, fear and anger? Then ask how hate it supposed to cure hate? If you have a bowl with one cup of hate and you add another cup of hate you just doubled your hate. Thing is with planting seeds it they may or may not germinate.

Your friend is a CNN watcher, and is out of touch with reality. Do not engage in political talk, but if he asks a question, answer it briefly.

Save the friendship by just letting him see the kind of person you are and how you live your life that reflects the values that you have. Then the only thing he needs to know is the simple fact that you are a Trump supporter.

3
AngelMark 3 points ago +3 / -0

You dont. Keep ur distance for now. When the TRUTH comes out you can then laugh in his sheep face!

3
Space_Force 3 points ago +3 / -0

You should spray holy water on your friend and watch him evaporate. I've given up on my one uber TDS buddy when I asked him, "What if you're wrong and I'm right?" His brain shut off and he went into crying/ad hominem attack mode. Literally crying because I don't care like he does and personal insults because that's just as good as making a point with some people I guess. We haven't spoken in 2 months. Oh fuckin well.

Contradicting what they “know” won’t work.

Someone who is brainwashed doesn’t just believe some information, they WANT TO believe it.

The block is not factual, it is emotional.

The only way is to give them NEW information and give them reasons why they should WANT to believe it.

For example, people are brainwashed against ICE because “racism” or other TDS.

So rather than argue with that position, you provide NEW information alongside EMOTIONAL reasons why they should want to believe it. Such as:

“ICE just rescued some children who were smuggled over the border by drug dealers. The drug dealers were raping these poor children and using them as their personal sex toys. Thank goodness ICE rescued them! And the agents risked their lives too!”

So next time the MSM says something negative about ICE, the brainwashed person will now have a seed of truth in the brain making them doubt what they’re being told by the MSM.

Not everyone can be redeemed, but it’s a strategy.

Most of his points are wrong.

Other than not liking Trump why does he support Biden? Ask him what the negatives are on the left. Chances are he cannot name them.

That’s a sign that he is brainwashed. You have to get him to know and criticize the left. You cannot get though to him yet regarding trump. Start sending him terrible stories about the left.
