Honestly, while he is a bit of a loose cannon, I think the Lt Gov Dan Patrick reflects the conservative and personal values I hold far better than Abbott.

He has been pretty good up until now. My take has been "compromised" as well. This is an all-out assault and the swamp is using all assets - including all the illegal surveillance accumulated during Obama years (and maybe Bush).
