I feel your pain my brother, I thought mine could swim. They just wanted to go fishing just one day on the river with dad hanging doing guy stuff. It still hurts
That’s why an actual civil war would go very poorly for the far left. We own all the guns and know how to use them. It’d be like the settlers vs a bunch of ugly rainbow obese people that can hardly walk. We’d all just stand there with our guns and say “can you all just give up now so we can go back to having a rational and free nation?” Then one of the hogs would probably take a hit and they’d all disperse to the nearest Starbucks.
Guys I go out with sometimes run thermal gear and AR calibers rigs that make me feel like an airsoft operator. haha. There's no doubt the darkness is bad news for leftist shtheads in some sort of rush. Your talking not only thermals but IR 1000 yd lasers and helmet NODs. Guys running suppressed .22s with thermals on pigs for fun. Nuts, really....
The helicopter company Lunkers rode with does exactly that. My better half says that it will be the next big birthday gift for me when we are in Texas.
Shooting from a moving vehicle is no joke, let alone a helo. The deflection shooting is not instinctive because the pilot is constantly moving the platform to get you the best shot or move to a something they have spotted and you may not see yet or even have a shot since it is on the other side of the aircraft for the other weapon team.
You are drawing down to finish of your target and the world changes to an impossible angle.
That will be an awesome birthday gift! I talked to someone at a bar the other night that said the helicopter hunts are a blast. Sounds like you got a good one. As a Texas resident, I've been planning on booking a hog hunt myself. Wooo, pig sooey!
I read some Ag studies that if you aren't culling 70% of your hogs annually the herd number is increasing. *I've also seen the big ones go right thru old 3 strand barbed wire when fleeing.
I shot at a few as a kid, but didn't have the proper firepower to take one down. I broadsided one from maybe 75 yards with a 45 lever action carbide and the damn thing just looked at me and kept digging for grubs. Second shot scattered them, but short of a direct shot to the eye I don't think I could have taken one down.
It is insane how difficult it is to take down large animals. I remember when I was a kid and first being introduced to firearms, I was given a 10/22. We were over at my uncles place and about to go into the woods, for a walk when someone mentioned bears. It scared 9 year old me and I said I would not go if I did not bring my rifle.
They all laughed and just said my rifle will do nothing but piss off a bear. Uncle grabbed his Mossberg shotgun, loaded it up with some 3" shells of 00 buckshot and said this should do it. But he also brought along his 44 magnum, which I remember him saying is the minimum for bears and probably wont kill it, just stop a charge.
Heard they carry a decent bounty and it’s a situation where they are so foul you shoot them and leave them because of parasites but the other hogs will have it eaten by morning. Their aggressiveness and destructiveness is quite the wonder.
They have them in Hawaii. I saw a special on hogs and they showed a huge field of pineapple, as far as the eye could see. Next morning after getting hit with a pack of hogs, there was nothing left. The damn hogs even tore up the roots. It's amazing how destructive they are.
100% agree. I go out a few times a month to a piece of property I have access to. This time of year when heat index is 110 during the day the short nights/coolest hrs are primo for pigs. The hrs of 3am-6am are super hoggy. I usually thermal hunt then switch over to walking some trails and pastures with .300blk/dot at first daylight. Nothing like quietly staring at the brightest stars to enjoying the dawn, all within a few hrs.
I clean a couple per year. They have to be the right size though to be worth it. I like to smoke loins and ribs. I also make breakfast sausage and brats. I've had great results. Like anything....the right fat content, health, and size can really dictate how good the taste is.
If you like that, look up Lunkers on Youtube (friend of Matt on Demo Ranch) and search for his helicopter hog hunt using a Loach.
It is absolutely. Epic. Skip to 3/4 in if you are tight for time. The smile on his face after dropping about the 12th monster hog with his AR is priceless.
Note : Lunkers was a sniper in the military. He's no gear queer poser. (Donut Operator reference)
Mine is very entry level. Bottom tier compared to a lot of the other brands and models. Nowadays $1-$2k for ones like my ATN, brand new. $3-5k and you're at mid level great stuff by Pulsar, FLIR, etc. $7-$10k and you're at the top shelf top tier best stuff with Trijicon and Halo brand models. The re-sell/used market is growing fast in the thermal market these days as well.
elder ones usually aren't great. I dress a few younger ones each year. Very good cuts. The shot placement makes BIG difference too. Head/neck drop voids those stress panic hormones from being released. I find the ones 120-140lbs and under are very good with clean shot.
Thanks. I have wanted to go hog hunting for a while ever since i seen videos about how destructive and invasive they are in rural areas. All they seem to do is feed and breed,
Patriots own the night.
Remember that BLM and Pantifa.
Patriots also own the firepower
Not me, I unfortunately lost all of mine in an unfortunate boating accident. I lost all gps signal when it happened, too. What a shame.

What Civil War? They should totally get together in a group and show their intention to do us harm.
(Makes it easier to find them.)

Insurance companies hate these hogs. They pay hundreds of millions of dollars in claims from them every crop season. $250,000 a night is common
See a hog... shoot a hog.
Sounds like a business opportunity to clear them out

Ha! Thanks for the laugh. Have a nice week!

When Lunkers from Youtube was shooting from a helicopter with an AR, the hogs only went down with heart or head shots.
They ate up 5.56/.223 like it was candy.

I don't know what's worse, Feral swine or Feral humans (aka DEMONkRATS.)
A lot of parallels no doubt. They both run amok consuming and destroying all the sht productive people work to build.
at least you can eat the hogs.
You can eat leftists too, just ask Alex Jones.
yuck, tastes like shit.
Probably tastes like soy and failure.
You don’t technically have to keep your clothes on either
Just attach a bayonet to that freedom boner and do the meat spins.
Seems like a perfect use for the chainsaw bayonet attachment

Can you eat wild hog?
If so, is it bacon-like or gamey?

Sounds good, light up the BBQ!!

Saw the title and got worried for Kathy Griffin for a moment there. Carry on.

This is distasteful.
You shouldn’t promote violence against liberal white women like this.
I’m reporting you to Der Fuhrer, Spez.
.308/7.62 is the caliber which i seek next. I don't hunt hogs.
$10-15k entry level optics :I

LEAVE ROSIE O'DONNELL ALONE!
Poor Amy Schumer! 😂
BOOM HEADSHOT!
Damned misleading title; I was expecting dead politicians!
Do they make good bacon or too gamey?
Barely audible, but @:09 I can definitely hear "not by the hair on my chinny chin chin" then a loud pop like a firecracker or something.
Are these edible or generally just terrible?

Oh I just realized what gear I need to buy next.
Night hunting sounds fun.
I want a thermal so bad :o
Is the secondary market pretty good? I assume people just offload theirs for the new thing?
So......
Pork chops? Bacon? Stew? Roast? Specific other plans?
I stick to smoking loins or making brats/breakfast sausage. Sometimes ribs with more fatty 80-130 lb ones.
Democrats ARE feral swine.
Democrat population control.

Aw, I feel bad because their kind were ISIS's natural predators.
Don’t worry! These piggies will be just swine!
Poor piggies.... Hope they were clean shots.
