I live in SE Pennsylvania and when we would travel to family in the area in ‘16 I would see Trump signs everywhere and maybe a lone Hillary sign. This was in Chester county which is fairly liberal. Didn’t agree with the polls at all, but that’s when I knew something big was about to happen. And now it’s happening again!
Went through a few states recently and when you get off the highways there are signs and flags everywhere. On one very rural route I saw six homes in a row and one TDS guy that didn't have anything Biden, just anti-Trump.
Thus far I can count on one hand how many Biden signs I've seen.
Can confirm for Central PA.
Not only are there tons of Trump signs, but there are almost no Biden signs at all.
I literally cannot recall the last time I saw one. Not even in down town State College, which is a leftist cesspool.
I would be willing to bet I would find more old Obama/Biden bumper stickers than I would Biden.

I live in a small community of about 800 total people. I would say for the most part people are pretty conservative, but they are also on the older side.
The housing market here is insane. Everyone from Pittsburgh area pushing up this way trying to get out of the city. A house lists here and it is sold within a week, if not sooner.
We have had two house near us sell this past year,
Both the new owners have blm signage in their yards. It seriously makes me ill.
Most of these "based" communities are of an older population. I would bet money on it over the next 5 years or so when they all start dying off the communities will change drastically.
It's unfortunate but true. These city dwellers are paying in the 100s of thousands for homes that just a few years ago were under 75k. The locals can't compete with those kind of mortgage payments and many of them seen it as an opportunity to leave.
To some degree, you're absolutely right.. The "Greater Pittsburgh Area" is certainly getting bigger. Places like Mars and Wexford are already screwed. Butler is now basically Beaver Falls Jr., and New Castle has always been bad. But once you're into Armstrong, Clarion, Venango, Forest, etc. it's fine and likely will be for a while. Shitbirds leave the city and move to the 'burbs, but the folks who've been in the 'burbs are moving to the woods.
I see Trump flags & stickers everywhere. Granted, I live in a rural, Conservative area but it's wonderful. One guy mowed TRUMP 2020 in his yard near me. I've flown my Trump flag since Christmas.
The running joke about Pennsylvania is that it’s Pittsburgh in the west, Philadelphia in the east, and Alabama in between. Not a huge surprise that someone would see a bunch of Trump signs. The issue is that there’s really low population density. They’re all Trump voters, but there aren’t very many of them.

Pennsylvania is a red state - it’s mostly the cities (Philly and Pittsburgh) that ruin it for everyone. Will probably go red this year though.
They did "redistricting" a few years back. It will be a battle I am sure.
