Shows real insight to thumb your nose at the President of the United States (by painting a public tax-paid street outside of the President's property), and then turn around and ask the federal government for money.

Trump has been even-handed, I feel, for 4 years. But we've reached a point where I'm OK with him flexing a bit of personal power.

I bet the point is that Congress is supposed to send the money and override any veto. Let's hope not.

He already denied Minneapolis, I don't see any city that's gonna get any assistance if the nucleus of the riots was denied.

Trump is playing it just right. During the madness, I kept seeing conservatives expressing concern, even despair, that Trump wasn't sending in the jackboots, freeing wokeistan, defending cities, etc.

Nah. They want that. That gives them their "Literally Hitler using his SS to oppress the poor POC" narrative. Instead, he just let them play out their hissyfit and now sticks them with the monumental bill.

Sorry about that, liberals. Maybe you should have just tried, I don't know, ~not trashing your own cities to the ground. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Just a thought.
