I'm a legal immigrant to this great country. Growing up in a literal shit-hole country, I always dreamed of coming to the USA. I envied the freedom and endless opportunity this land provides to its children. I struggled and worked hard to get here.
But when I got here, I found I could not express my love for this country without being labeled "right wing". That makes no sense to me.
This seems like the only place on the Internet where I can express my love for this country unabashedly so I'm screaming it here!!!

We apologize that the communists have been renting a room and are trying to trash the house, but after November 3rd, I think you will find that we clean up nicely. Remember, starting your own business is the key to the Amercian dream. Also, red states tend to have less regulation, and thus are easier to start businesses in.

Yes, my American dream starts with a business I build from scratch. Unfortunately, I work in a very niche technology area so Silicon Valley seems to be the only place I can build this right now.
I've considered Austin for the tech talent but I'm not sure I can take the heat :(

For sure. I in fact grew up in two shit hole countries (one albeit briefly). I completely agree with you because I never had freedom or opportunity growing up.

If any of these ingrates lived my life for a year - no running water, no constant electricity, rampant corruption, terrible pollution, a government that doesn't allow freedom of speech - they'd change their minds real quick.
