Your daughter has good taste :). My baby is a 2004 Mercury Marauder hence my screen name. She is the only thing I own that I really cherish and I get offers to sell her everytime I stop for gas. Give your a Daughter a big hug for me will ya? :)

Ford's CEO did what?

We just bought a Ford truck, not because we loved it but because we were in a hurry (and the Dodge we wanted was 5 days away). So I didn't fall in love with my truck.

But maybe now I can give it a chance to enter my heart...

Asshole protesters that worked at Ford said they didn't want to build Police cars. You believe that shit? Fire them all.

Could be true, The Ford family is full of nuts. I should know because I've worked with them.

Dan Akroyd has two of these as he uses them as his daily drivers.

Very cool! If it's Champagne it's a copy Marauder which is also very cool. One of the things that drew me to the car besides it's looks and comfort is it's totally a sleeper! Stock it's 300 hp, with a Trilogy supercharger it is easily 650-700 Hp which shocks the hell out of the kids with there little "Fast and Furious" toys. The Motor is the same as the Mach Mustang which were produced less than the Marauders because only 5000 were made. If you see your neighbor, give him a nod for me because I love Marauder clones.

My good friend has a Trilogy super charger in his Marauder! I would figure you do as well. Crazy fast! So much fun.

Man, I had a Cobra Mustang I bought brand new back in '93... Holy shit it was like driving a chevette compared to my Marauder with the Trilogy. Its like crazy stupid quick. And I love the looks on the faces of the kids after I'm waiting for them in my "Grandpa car" they call it. :)

I know, it totally catches guys off guard. I couldnt tell you how many rice burners we left behind on the highway. Throws you back in the seat if you're not ready for it. He had it garaged for a while because of an engine light code he couldnt figure out, but after taking it around the block and hammering it, he called me and said he needed a day off (works with me) to get his inspections and plates renewed. Absolute beast! I know hes in a Marauder club here in MO.

Damn, I hope he gets her fixed. I too belong to a club here in Detroit, Motor City Marauders. We used to hang out on 13 mile at the Woodward cruise for many years. Makes me really happy that you understand how fast these "Grandpa" cars are. :)

What really sucks for me is that I test drove a 96 Impala but didnt buy it. He went out and bought one literally 2 wks later. Then We would talk about how fast these Marauders are and what you can do to make them crazy fast, and once again, I drug my feet (also started having kids), but sure as hell, he went and picked up his Marauder.

Sucks, but I understand completely. I really got lucky because I seen pics of the Marauder in like early 2000 or 2001 as a concept. I'm in the Autobiz and I happened to be working on the "Panther" program at the time so I knew the Marauders were in Production so I waited a year (to work out bugs) and ordered my baby. That's the reason I have a 2004. I'm so glad I didn't second guess myself because the car has brought me nothing but joy for all these years.
