I'll get onboard with doing something for everyone elses health.
Right after the world bans all perfume, aftershaves, other strong scents.
Because those fuck up my allergys. But nobody will ever do THAT for MY health.
Every time it happens could be my last allergic reaction. Why don't people care about my health? I'm old too. Boo hoo. Poor me. I'm a victim. Ban all the fragrance chemicals!
‘And what should’t I be obliged to do to make someone else ‘feel safer’? Give up all my hobbies? Stop swimming? Eat only what they tell me? Pull over to let them pass? Put down my dog? Join their religion? Bind my own hands?’
You could make the argument that the mask mandate is the same as forcing people to wear diapers on the off chance that they might soil themselves or decide to relieve themselves in public.
Or a simple, affirmative statement , "It is your choice to be in my proximity. It is my choice to cover my face."
You could place it another way: you plan to use alternative methods of making the area around you secure. At the first sign of an illness, you will begin prophylactic self-treatment, which is one hell of a lot more effective than a mask.
If you don't know what that treatment is, you can search "hydroxychloroquine" at this site, and find the outpatient treatment for COVID-19, as well as inexpensive, over-the-counter alternatives.
If I have a tickle in my throat, I take a zinc + elderberry lozenge. If the tickle isn't gone the next day, I start 500 mg Quercetin + 100mg Zinc. I usually also take 1 g C and 10,000 IU D on a daily basis.
If it gets worse (start coughing, or coughing intensifies, fever starts, loss of taste or smell), I get tested for coronavirus, and if I don't get results within the hour, I phone my Dr. to get a prescription for a 5-day course of treatment with hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and a Z-pak. I start treatment immediately, that day, before the results typically come back.
This has all been worked out for me in advance, in consultation with my doctor, because I am in the fragile class, and I cannot afford to be hospitalized with pneumonia.
I am protecting myself, but I am also ensuring that I don't become an infectious petri dish, and a danger to others.

What? No? Fuck me? Yep. Exactly right.
You don’t need any reason at all.
“Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin”
And there's your argument!
I'll just bet you don't drive on the right side of the road, either.
C'mon, don't be dumb.
"Im not going to change the way I live because your feelings. If you're that terrified of carona virus buy a fucking hazmat suit on Amazon."
"Only $11,199.99!! (Shhhh! Comes with a five year old girl!)
