Do not ever call racism as "reverse racism". It does not exist.

Racism is racism, irrespective of the point of view

inspir3dgenius 16 points ago +16 / -0

Reverse Racism is a Liberal fakeout they created to say that it doesn't exist. Racism is racism.

SauronWasFramed 14 points ago +14 / -0

I explained his to my kid yesterday. Racism is racism no matter who is discriminated against

BirchTBarlow 3 points ago +4 / -1

Racism is a concept made up to shut down political debate.

1
Trump-45 1 point ago +2 / -1

First gear racism. Second gear racism, third, fourth. Ohh yea and reverse. Every gear was racist. But seriously they are stupid buffoons.

Agreed, didn't mean to use that terminology.

aveydey 16 points ago +16 / -0

There is no such thing as "reverse racism" there is only "racism". "Reverse racism" is some made up leftist newspeak used to make people think that only whites are capable of being racist.

Wfdeacon88 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sorry I didn't mean to say it as if it was how it should be referred to.

Yeah, diversity hire for sure. They tried this shit with women in Formula 2 also with a driver called Tatiana Calderon, they were trying as hard as they could to push her in to Formula 1 but she was so shit it looked ridiculous.

Richard Petty Motorsports does not exist to be competitive. Pretty sure its only function is to keep Richard involved and relevant in Nascar. If any team would have a diversity hire, its his.

jive-ass-turkey 2 points ago +2 / -0

I thought Richard Petty was a fucking Republican.

He ran for Sec of State in North Carolina in 1996, ffs.

The King my ass.

Now go look at Kapernick's stats

Levy_Wilson 5 points ago +6 / -1

Not the worst. Out of 43 drivers, he finishes an average in the 20s. He's not bad, just extremely mediocre.

2
Dimocrat_Lies 2 points ago +3 / -1

In other words, he deserves to be a NASCAR driver on merit alone.

2
jive-ass-turkey 2 points ago +2 / -0

Are you asking or making a statement?

I don't follow NOOSECAR but don't want to be perpetuating misinformation regardless.

I've been told by several fans, anecdotal I know, that he is not a good driver, does not have a good reputation (I know this is subjective and a not really evidence of anything), and is in the car due to family connections.

Is this not true and Bubba is there based on his merits? I genuinely would like to know.

Dimocrat_Lies 0 points ago +1 / -1

Well if he’s consistently getting ~20th out of 43 he probably deserves to be there if the other drivers do too.

4
66_Chevelle_SS 4 points ago +6 / -2

Not even close to the worst LOL.

As an example, Michael Waltrip raced for 15 years without winning a race, before getting hired to race for DEI and getting his first win.

Auto racing in general requires a LOT of money to be competitive, and not all teams are on equal footing in that regard.

2
derek17005 2 points ago +4 / -2

100% agreed and the stats don't tell the whole tale.

I don't like Bubba any more than any of you do and as a Nascar fan, can't stand him as he's arrogant and seems to have a few screws loose. But on any given sunday, there are at least 39 other cars besides his so to say he's the worst is a fallacy. He's solid mid-pack which is to say, he's average. Doesn't help that RPM (Richard Petty Motorsports) hasn't really been competitive since Richard himself drove and even then, it was back in the early 80's when he was competitive as his later years, he was just ok.

The last really good driver that drove for RPM was Aric Almirola and he's now with Stewart Haas Racing and much more of a threat than he ever was a RPM. Bubba showed promise when he was in the XFinity series aka Busch series but has no where near performed to the expectations that were placed upon him. If he doesn't get a shot in top tier equipment (Hendrick, Stewart Haas, RCR, JGR) in the next couple of years, he'll probably flame out and be out of racing all together. That's assuming that Nascar itself will survive as it's been in a ratings plunge since about 2010 and the plunge accelerated when they started the dumbass stage racing and the old stalwarts of the sport started retiring (Gordon, Stewart, Jr., etc.).

Which is basically the net worth of most folks working 30 years at 100k.

3
Trumpfan1 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep! You hit the nail on the head! Shitty driver played the race card because he knows HE’LL NEVER WIN A RACE! Now at least he’ll have a job where he can finish 20+ every race for the rest of his sorry career because if he’s ever let go it’ll be racist 🙄

3
racer513 3 points ago +3 / -0

Diversity hire. We all have stories about people getting good jobs that are completely unqualified for them

3
Flahusky 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yall haven't noticed a trend here - black athletes with no talent - black actors w no talent - black nascar drivers w no talent - are all screaming racism. Instead of trying to do better and winning - they blame others for their failures.

2
SnowflakeJuice 2 points ago +2 / -0

I see progress. In another 20 years, he ma actually win a race

On foot, running from a fat big city traffic cop.

Nellie_the_Beaut 2 points ago +2 / -0

Just wait until Formula1 rolls out their $1m “diversity outreach program” they announced last week (along with their blm kneeling). It’s specifically to recruit and train “drivers of color, particularly black drivers” into the sport, because they are so inexcusably “underrepresented” - in a sport invented by spry, jockey-sized high performance car engineers and enthusiasts from the motor car capitols of Europe. Like Uganda and Baltimore.

There is probably some really great young white race team off doing formula drift because token bubba gets a free spot

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION MATTERS.

1
Beyond_Insemination 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't think they will ever fire him, but he may "Regretfully retire from racing" when a CNN contributor job comes available

1
Truglow 1 point ago +1 / -0

They could give this hack a 10 lap lead and he would still finish last.

1
Wigger 1 point ago +1 / -0

Need more stats. Side by side comparison please. Where does Bubba stand on the all-time worst NASCAR drivers hierarchy?

1
BritPedeMEGA 1 point ago +1 / -0

Isn’t NASCAR team recruitment based on skill, talent, and merit? Or am I just being naiive.

Can’t remember if Danica Patrick was any good (or even if she did nascar ) but I bet she would be better than Blubba salt mine Wallace.

Or then there’s that new girl, daughter of an existing driver. Damn she’s so adorable . Oops checked, she just turned 18. Bad!! Bad thoughts! Stop it brain!!

1
RyanUpCreek 1 point ago +1 / -0

Derrike Cope from the 80s and 90s was a far better driver than Bubba and he only won one race.

For real; there's another really bad driver who would like to take his place.

How many cars start/finish a typical NASCAR event? And are his numbers inflated positively because DNFs get taken out?

So he's relegated to the back?
