Just tell those dumb sluts that their surgical masks don't filter anything you inhale, only a portion of the large droplets you spit out when yelling for the manager. "Say it don't spray it"
You'd be surprised at how many Karens only wear masks because they think it protects them from the environment, when surgical masks operate the opposite way. Only N95's filter the air you inhale, but the filter works only in that direction, it doesn't filter your exhale. N95's are made for working in known infectious environments, like inside a WuFlu infected's patient room. However, N95's must be fitted AND are only like 1/5th of the total PPE needed for working in an infectious environment.
Unless these dumbasses are wearing full PPE: N95, Goggles, Gown, facemask, gloves, and booties, they aren't safe from being infected. Not even a little bit.
Source: Am career hospital employee, have to know my shit about PPE.
And this goes the other way too. Don't listen to these idiots claiming a surgical mask is going to kill you. If you're sick, wear a surgical mask, it catches droplets (saliva, boogers, spittle, etc). Viruses are small enough to fit through the filters on a surgical mask, but viruses are carried in droplets, they don't just have jetpacks so they can freely fly around, your spit carries the virus and a mask stops the spit from becoming airborne. When people get sick in Japan and Korea they wear facemasks, have been for decades and they aren't dropping dead from "C02 overdose."
This isn't a black and white issue
Second, if it's airborne, any type of mask does fuck all to protect from it. Airborne aerosols containing a virus can enter through your eyes, stick to your clothes, etc etc. However, a surgical mask could reduce it when it comes from infected people, which is why I say if you're sick wear a mask, but it will do absolutely nothing to protect you. Masks do not protect you from getting infected, they reduce the chances of an infected person from spitting virus containing droplets into the air. A blanket requirement for everyone to wear the mask is authoritarian and nothing new from the left, but the right shouldn't be 100% anti mask, it's retarded. If you want to be taken seriously don't play these all or nothing games
Here you go from the CDC. Ask them to show a study from before 2020. This has been a long time debate with N95. Bandanas and wearing with a beard is worthless.
Here is an example from the CDC published in May of 2020.
"Respiratory etiquette is often listed as a preventive measure for respiratory infections. However, there is a lack of scientific evidence to support this measure."
"In pooled analysis, we found no significant reduction in influenza transmission with the use of face masks"
"The effect of hand hygiene combined with face masks on laboratory-confirmed influenza was not statistically significant "
"There is limited evidence for their effectiveness in preventing influenza virus transmission either when worn by the infected person for source control or when worn by uninfected persons to reduce exposure. Our systematic review found no significant effect of face masks on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza."
"Finally, although our review focused on nonpharmaceutical measures to be taken during influenza pandemics, the findings could also apply to severe seasonal influenza epidemics. Evidence from RCTs of hand hygiene or face masks did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza, and limited evidence was available on other environmental measures."
Source? I want to shit on some Karens

Except they now show its airborne
First, fuck the WHO.
