If you haven't watched the video where he talks to Snerdley about one of the show's callers that had spoken on air with Rush requesting to be transferred back to Snerdley, I highly recommend it.
I guess Rush asks Snerdley what the guy wanted, as the guy's request was not unusual for them and Rush expected to hear about the caller's new book or suggestion for the show. Snerdley tells him the guy wanted to donate one of his lungs to Rush.
Then he says he's been getting around five calls a day just like it since Rush announced his condition.
If you've listened to Rush you know he doesn't get emotional easily, and doesn't completely lose it here, but Rush's reaction is touching to say the least. He is blown away.
I couldn't believe it either. To see the look on his face is about as heart warming of a moment I've ever found.
Everyday is a gift.
Rush has been saying that every day when he wakes up the first thing he does is thank God that he did.
As we should all do. Easy to forget to do that when you're young and healthy. One way to do it is to "suck the bone marrow out of life".
Thank God! I've never been crushed about celebrity news until Rush's diagnosis.
