They successfully cancelled us from Reddit, they’ve attempted to infiltrate our message here... beyond that, I have felt that I’m not allowed to post anything political on my own social media even hinting at my support for Donald J. Trump. As a white Millennial, my friends have indirectly accused me of being a racist because of my vote for Donald Trump and also been told my “silence is violence” regarding police brutality. Recently I have decided to post things on my personal social media that do not show my support for Trump, but point out the hypocritical nature of the arguments I mentioned. They want us here and here only because not one of these loud mouths have decided to contact me in order to discuss these issues.
The only time I’ve had the opportunity to directly call out the “silence is violence” and “you’re a racist for voting for Trump”, my good friend, homosexual might I add, didn’t have an answer for calling me those things indirectly. I am NOT violent, and I am NOT racist. Don’t be afraid to share what is right. They only want us here expressing our opinions, but when you make it a personal, moral argument they run like cockroaches from a shoe.
Sounds like you need to drop your so called "friends" and find new ones. Defriend and ignore their messages. No response is the best response.
I choose not to “defriend” people based on political views. Like you said, no response is the best response. I am very close friends with many of those who have indirectly called me a racist and violent for my political views. “Defriending” and getting into an argument is what they want. I’d rather share my, rational, side of the story than take their bait. I am hoping more of us choose to do that as well.
