In a society afflicted with institutionalized racism, the white cops would never have been charged with anything, let alone IMMEDIATELY getting charged with MURDER.
In a society with systemic racism, any "protests" after the fact would have been brutally squashed, with hundreds of non-whites beaten ruthlessly in the street, gassed, arrested, and thrown in jail, or shot to death and left to rot, as a deterrent to them and their ilk.
Instead, we live in the exact opposite: one of the only societies in history where equality of races is encoded into law and every single facet of daily life, such that any discrimination, no matter how tiny, is instantly detected and erased.
We just had a black president, for fuck's sake. Elected by a bunch of white voters. That by itself completely canceled out any possibility of ever again pretending racism in America is an institution—forever. Canceled it out. That's our version of cancel culture.
