I wish I was making this up. I drive by a soccer field everyday to and from the office. Huge area maybe 20 fields. Yesterday a single adult man was standing alone flying his RC plane. Mask on. Gloves on. When I say alone I mean 1 car in the parking lot alone 100 yards or more from the road not a person near him for 1/4 of a mile or more. Damn idiot.
Idiot is the perfect word. I've seen a few people wearing those plastic face shields too. One guy had his young son wearing one. I hope in a few years when doomer parents are dealing with the fallout of phycologically torturing their kids they have a moment of clarity.
I wanna like him for flying a plane, but I can’t now. Was willing to consider he has hay fever, hence the mask. But then you mentioned gloves. Perhaps it to protect his hands from the fuel? No, most RC is battery powered and anyone old enough to still run nitro doesn’t give a fuck about a little fuel.
