This was part of draining the swamp. Most were just POS RINOs.

Ohgami 41 points ago +42 / -1

Pretty much this. We didn't need them and they would have also likely voted for impeachment too.

25
ScullyMully [S] 25 points ago +27 / -2

We didn't need them, but we needed Democrats obstructionists even less

26
Ohgami 26 points ago +26 / -0

Ahh but using 4d chess GEOTUS got the Dems to play their hand and show the country who they really are.

16
LArnix 16 points ago +16 / -0

I think you are right with that. I think we were a slow boiling frog but they lost it with Trump.

11
Chick-fill-eh 11 points ago +12 / -1

What difference does it make if the obstructionist has a D or an R by their name?

4
Damadhatter 4 points ago +4 / -0

A little easier to whip an R to vote with geotus than a D though - but yes, the band aid Trump ripped off of the political class was and will be one of his greatest accomplishments.

Chick-fill-eh 2 points ago +2 / -0

Is it easier to primary an incumbent RINO? Or to elect a new candidate over an incumbent Dem?

I'm thinking the incumbent RINO might be harder to remove.

The Republicans should have run better candidates and Republican voters should have gotten off their ass and gone to the polls to vote.

Southern_Belle 9 points ago +9 / -0

Next time.

How many of us might run for something in 2022?

(Raises hand, looks around room nervously.)

5
Wayne_N 5 points ago +5 / -0

Republicans should get off there ass in general and start protesting these libs

17
TEXinLA 17 points ago +17 / -0

Yup. You cost the American taxpayers at least $50 Million...

10
proDeoEtPatria 10 points ago +10 / -0

shampeachment will go down as the 2nd biggest scam is US political history

5
TEXinLA 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yup. Had they decided to run again in 2018, no shampeachment.

9
AlcoholicRetard 9 points ago +9 / -0

Fucking drop in the bucket compared to the trillions this retarded unnecessary lockdown cost us.

4
TEXinLA 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yup. Our worth less than worthless Governor Newsom shut us down again today.

9
TrumpOrTreason 9 points ago +9 / -0

Yes. This was part of the coup attempt against the President, and the American people. I'm glad they're gone.. BUT... this shows how they can manipulate elections.

Some of these asshats announced retirements AFTER they were elected in their primary, so there was NO real competition for the democrat candidate on the ballot.

This is why we need real, true American patriots running for office.

And now want to go back.

I'm still pissed at Issa for leaving. That flipped my district blue and I'm not happy. It better turn back red or there's going to be some serious fucking problems in this town.

It’s not hypocritical in the sense that term limits are not enforced for everyone. While I agree that term limits are desirable, it doesn’t change the fact that until we have term limits, we need every patriot playing the same game. They left either to hurt Trump and by extension us or because they were compromised and forced out. These people didn’t suddenly leave out of some moral responsibility to uphold the idea of term limits.

They did not leave out of a moral need to support term limits and you know it. Regardless of what their reason to leave, we don’t know it, all we can do is speculate. But it stinks to Heaven and you know it. If you want the supposed moral high ground then go ahead, no ones stopping you. The rest of us will continue fighting, sometimes that means playing with the rules we have to work with. My principles haven’t changed, but I am a realist and I understand when something I desire isn’t feasible at the moment. Wake up!

I gave the two leading theories, both of which I put stock in - but yes we don’t know for sure. However, it definitely wasn’t about standing up for term limits lol.

You can “stick to your principles” to your own detriment, I don’t care. My principles haven’t changed regardless of your opinion. Term limits are the goal. Right now forcing ourselves to stick to our own requirements while allowing them to take advantage of the rules as currently written is foolish.

You are clearly looking to argue/demean instead of debate actual merit. Other than what little I’ve told you, you have no idea what my actual stances are. I’ll tell you what though, I’m not legalistic like you appear to be.

Either way, I’m done with this conversation. I have things to do and they don’t include arguing with someone over semantics.

Hi. I’m friends with Bob Corker’s daughter, Emily. She told me 12 years ago that her father is extremely corrupt, and was taking bribes in the Senate. (Hence how he amassed $50 million dollars in a 12 year period— his reported net worth went from $3M to $54M.)

She told me that always wanted to be in politics— until she interned at the Senate and saw how awful it all is.

Her father, along with Paul Ryan and others, were likely called out for this corruption by Trump, and threatened to be exposed, unless they resigned. Will they ever be exposed to the public? I don’t know. But I’m not going to pretend that I possess definitive knowledge of what is occurring, as you seem to have a habit of doing.

Except Orin Hatch right? He is old but based.

3
Independenceforever 3 points ago +3 / -0

Can we add Orrin Hatch to this list?

Threw the election with sudden retirement to spring in Romney before Utah realized how much everybody outside of Utah HATED Pierre Delecto and his connections to Monsanto and Maxwell weren't known. Yep. There's some serious corruption in Utah that will be exposed soon.

YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WERE DOING, HATCH. SCREW OFF!

WhiskeyAlpha 3 points ago +3 / -0

I look forward, at some point in the future, to finding out how many of them were compromised by the Epstein affair - and told to get the fuck out.

To be fair, they didn't sign up for the conservative counter-culture: and thus they SHOULD go... We must scamble to fill their void with Better Than They.

2
EthnoBiowarfareVirus 2 points ago +5 / -3

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but you could just as easily make the argument: Why aren't YOU running for office? Are you doing everything you can? Donating as much as you can? Everyone makes their own choices based on what they feel is best for them. That's how our system works. There will always be regrets in hindsight but we can't let that keep us down, the past is the past and we have to deal with the present and plan for the future

5
ScullyMully [S] 5 points ago +6 / -1

True, but bailing and handing the keys over to Nancy Pelosi has helped get us into the current shitstorm and exacerbated it

3
EthnoBiowarfareVirus 3 points ago +4 / -1

I know it, you know it, everyone knows it

If they are not willing to fight for us, I would definitely rather that they get out of the way. That way we can get someone with some energy and fight in them into office.

1
AR_Lover 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you aren't thinking about running you should be now. If you are not volunteering for a campaign now you should be. If you aren't donating now you should be. Sitting on the internet shit posting will do almost nothing.

How is it their fault? Its a job, and we should have term limits.
