"A teacher died in Arizona so doesn't that show schools shouldn't open ?" No you stupid son of a bi*ch, kids rarely get it and when they do they get over it better. Teachers are essential the same as EMT workers.

The more I meet Arizona teachers...the more confident I am that they aren't essential. The new generation of those looking for admin/leadership jobs in Arizona schools are the most irrational, idiotic and unstable people I've ever met.

I meant teachers in general are essential but you could be very right about AZ. I have no idea on that one, lol.

Sure sure, I have only lived in Arizona my whole life and the only teachers I know either left to teach english overseas, or they stayed here.

Not all teachers are unstable, however, so I will sort of walk back that situation. The reality though is that the "Best case" people I know treat teaching like the job they settled on because they didn't know what they wanted to do. Sort of like the same attitude of someone coming to work after they give their two week notice.

Yes, you see that so much in large organizations. The good ones become disillusioned so they leave while the organization continues to perpetuate its own. I've experienced it myself.
