Wow! I did not know that, thank you, Iโm wearing an Omega Speedmaster right now, and itโs the same hesalite crystal models that Buzz wore as the first watch on the moon. (Armstrong sacrificed his Speedy as a communal watch on the rocket ship after the on board clock malfunctioned).
'He then took communion privately. At this time NASA was still fighting a lawsuit brought by atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hair (who had objected to the Apollo 8 crew reading from the Book of Genesis) demanding that their astronauts refrain from broadcasting religious activities while in space. As such, Aldrin chose to refrain from directly mentioning taking communion on the Moon. Aldrin was an elder at the Webster Presbyterian Church, and his communion kit was prepared by the pastor of the church, Dean Woodruff. Webster Presbyterian possesses the chalice used on the Moon and commemorates the event each year on the Sunday closest to July 20.'
Fucking marxists were there all along, we just never noticed until recently.
I have never heard any of this. Thank you for sharing this. Whether you are atheist, agnostic, or religious does not matter. Knowing the plight that Buzz Aldrin or even our forefathers went through to achieve greatness and they still made a point to prove how deeply they held their religious belief, like it or not. Thatโs a story that needs to be told.

You're wearing one! I am very jealous!
On a cheap $10 NATO strap no less :) It is a fun lightweight watch to wear. I love it.

This makes me seriously depressed...
Our fucking pledge of allegiance has god in it, so why in the name of Earth are people so damn offended when religion is celebrated?
