Thanos was right

Thanos was a commie. He had options. He could’ve made larger planets, more resources, but he chose to kill 50% of everything indiscriminately. He’s the embodiment of Planned Parenthood.

But would that be doable with the infinity gauntlet? He doesn’t strike me as being like Ego.

Says Malthus. The planets would baby boom back in a generation. Goldfish expand to fit the size of their container, and intelligent species aren't much different, we spread until we hit the current Malthusian cap, until that cap is solved or removed, then spread again.

There is no solving that pattern through petty ideas like "kill a bunch of people", as Thanos thought. Kill them? They re-breed. Half all spermcounts? They'll just mate more. Half of births are stillborn? Intelligent species breed because they are able to financially and sociologically, they don't just because opportunity biologically exists. They'll try again, and again.

Here's how you solve it: Make everyone smarter. The only way the villain can win, is if he poisons the water supply with radioactive vibranium and makes everyone super-geniuses via comic book logic. Smarter people tend to have fewer children.

Fuck Thanos.

The Malthusian Dilemma is trite, disproven Greenpeace bullshit.
