I grew up in Redondo Beach California in the 90s and early 2000s, so far nothing from my childhood is still around, not even the mexican place my dad would get food from, instead it got replaced with a drive-thru tea/health place. I'm glad I don't live in California anymore.
Shit I spent a lot of my childhood in the East Side ‘hood where gunshots in the ‘90’s was as common as police sirens.
Now, it’s fairly peaceful, but there are homeless insane people walking around and encamped everywhere instead, starting brush fires and endangering people’s houses.
At least the gangbangers just targeted other gangs and their families. Homelessness is everywhere now.
Besides feces/needles on the streets, no description encapsulates California more than this. A once incredible state that has been reduced to abject cuckoldry.
