I feel bad for middle class Americans who grew up in California and have seen it destroyed. That was probably one of the greatest places in the entire country, without a doubt. Nice pleasant weather, not too hot, not too cold, sunny, laid back and relaxing, a massive coastline, lots of opportunity as it was still growing and developing relative to the East Coast. Just beautiful.

But now its disgusting. It's a disgusting pile of shit. Physically and ideologically.

The only areas where the California of old even has a semblance of its old self, is in the extremely wealthy areas, where home prices are not accessible to regular folks (they can't even buy the shit areas anymore!)

I'm temporarily living in Fresno and it's pretty nice out here. The city streets are clean, and the people I've met so far have been super normal. No riots or anything. I drove to the mountains last weekend and the rural areas are absolute MAGA Country, if there's no Trump flag in the yard, then there's an American flag.

On the other hand, San Francisco is a disaster, but I'll count my blessings.
