Literally 9 out of 10 people look at me crazy when I tell them this. They insist government gave us rights and can take them at will. We live in Clown World.

It's sad. Plenty of "intellectuals" even go so far as to think there shouldn't have even been a bill of rights, that the government should have the flexibility to take rights back and give them out according to every new situation. They always love deferring to higher authorities (unless that higher authority is God, then they just laugh at you for daring to use the G-word), so they naturally always talk about expanded government powers as if there will always be "people who know better" running things and that corrupt people will never use government to choke the life out of them. I used to be a liberal and it seriously is just like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football over and over again thinking "we just need to get it right next time!"

TL;DR - People are lazy sheep who just want to be told what to do, where to stand, and when to die.

The amount of people who deffer to "experts" like Fauci for all their thinking is amazing. The majority of people I talk to just say "We need to trust the scientists!" The same people have no idea how science works, have no idea that science takes decades of experimentation and data to be "settled". Even Einstein got things wrong, he didn't believe in quantum physics. Decades of research has proven many things Einstein refused to believe.

People just parrot what the idiot box tells them. No one looks into these scientific studies or reads the details. Often the studies and news articles are completely different. Then when the narrative changes their goldfish brain kicks in and they forget all the times they were wrong, they forget all the times the news was wrong. They are stuck in this cycle of servitude because they are too lazy and weak to be real human beings. They are addicted to Netflix, porn, and pizza. As long as they get their daily dopamine hit they will bend the knee all day. Our Founding Fathers would be disgusted at this nation. I sure am disgusted.

Yep. Netflix fits right in with people's view of government these days. "Can't you just charge me 10 bucks a month and let me watch whatever movies I want" isn't too far a stretch from "Can't you just take some more taxes out of my paycheck every month and pretend like you're fixing everything so I can go back on auto-pilot guilt free?"

Ironically some 23 year old just smashed his Tesla into a State Trooper's SUV on the highway(AZ). The Tesla was on auto-pilot. The driver was also drunk. This is the world we live in now.

Because you need to spoon feed it to them. It being your birthright does not mean that the government can't also take your rights at will. Those things are not exclusionary. One is something given to you at birth, as a human born to nature. The other is a human born to a ruling government with expectations and demands.

It is your job as a US citizen to make sure the government doesn't tread on your rights, because they are fundamental things of a free person. The moment you let that go, you're letting the most basic human freedom go.

The result is that you will be a subject to the state until you can overthrow them (which will happen eventually, but there will be a lot of blood). I mean good luck doing that if you've given away your weapons, and have a demoralized population who already believes that the government is right in enslaving you, and you can't even communicate.

The government absolutely can give and take your rights. But they're you're birthright, and it's your job to defend it. That's what the founding fathers meant, in my opinion.

Ask Hong Kong how easy it is to fight for freedom with no guns. It's not going well for them is it?

They literally had to build fucking catapults and bows, which gave them some time. Now imagine if they had proper weapons. This is the counter argument to all the brainiacs saying "guns won't stop a tank". No, it won't. But good luck popping boots on the ground when you've got a barrel pointed out of every nook and cranny

Guns will stop a tank if you know where the tank crew sleeps at night, hint they don't sleep in the tank!
