Look at my post history I'm a huge Trump supporter. With respect aren't we in danger of becoming like the Left's monoculture.
Wearing a mask is very different from choosing to wear a seatbelt or not, that decision only affects you. Where is wearing a mask could affect the health of someone else.

It wouldn't be right for a surgeon to decide based on their preference whether to wear a mask during an operation because that decision is for the patient's health. That said if they didn't wear a mask the patient wouldn't automatically die or get an infection but the statistical probability would be higher.

There are great personal benefits to wearing a mask, it gives you a clear conscience, if someone nearby does die, you know you did your best, it frees you from liability. It's no great hardship really and there is some science to show that it helps reduce spread.

Science is not our enemy even though it is manipulated, it's what got us to the moon and achieving medical breakthroughs.

I've been touched by coronavirus, I've had myself. A lovely guy called Frank who was 94, he was my neighbour in the flats, he was housebound I visited him often he had a sharp mind and was a delight to talk to. He caught it and was was gone 10 days later. He didn't catch it from me because I hadn't seen him for a couple of weeks he probably caught it from one of the carers of course no masks. I miss him a lot.
