Part of it is nostalgia. My grandma loved Disney and took the whole family on a few vacations. My mom was a drug addict so those were bright spots. When I got my first paycheck, I saved up for months and bought a full all-expense paid week for my dad, sister, and I. We had a lovely hotel room, ate fabulous meals on the meal plan, and just enjoyed each other’s company. It wasn’t as magical as when we were kids but that was a transition time in my life (before my red pill) and that vacation is still such a good memory for me. Now, knowing everything I do, I’d rather take them on a beach trip or something.
I can see where you are coming from. I have good memories form the parks as well. However we need to return to nature as a society. The real entertainment is in the forests, mountains, streams and beaches.
