I see the 40mm tests done across the US to date - I'm thinking that a great many of those are just 'curious' since the tests are on demand of the 'patient' at this point through these drive throughs. (and are free to the patient) Also, the positive tests reflect the people who 'have' it who are getting repeat tests every couple of days to see if they're over it. That one person could show up as multiple 'positive cases'. Wish somebody like Birx would address that to the public, but I'm afraid those numbers aren't captured cleanly enough to analyze. And what's to stop me from going to one Drive thru test tent, then driving across town to another drive thru test tent just to compare results? I think this has become such a huge mess that this is why we aren't seeing the task force very much these days. No confidence in the data.

My doctor did the same. Told me to avoid people just as much if not more than usual and to wash my hands more often than normal if I'm out of my normal environment. Basically, keep living my life and just realize that something is going around out there. Also alluded to not agreeing with the numbers and figures. Doc is pretty based.
Some people might get tested because we were told that we can be carrying it and never have symptoms. I suspect this is a lie for the most part. Media hasn't mentioned that in months as far as I can tell.
Which tests. Antibody or rna? RNA testing is much more accurate.
I don't have any idea. Whichever one they shove the swab inside your nose so far it tickles your brain. But knowing the VA, I wouldn't be surprised if they do both types of test. I always request a full drug screening and full STD screening every time I have a blood workup at the VA to be on record for security clearance reasons.

Long-term, up close exposure (hospital workers around a sea of positive patients) more severe symptoms. So, your comment about developing constant immunity due to regular exposure in the general community makes sense to me.

Going by their previous description, it might be slightly higher than the flu. But going by their "had prior contact with a covid patient and exhibiting a symptom" bullshit? The data is tainted.
And how to filter out 'multiple positives' by the same patient. Are those counted as multiple cases? I think the numbers have gotten so messed up at this point, and the WH can't release any lack of confidence in these numbers because of losing face to the nation. When the tell-all books come out from Fauci and the other testing team members in a couple of years, this is going to reveal a complete CF behind the scenes with these numbers. Brother, sister, and father were all asymptomatic. Brother and father got tested because my father is over 65 and has a heart condition so he was paranoid. Sister gets tested regularly because she's a nurse. Mother thought she had severe allergies, but went to get tested as a courtesy to her co-workers. She felt better in a day.
Meanwhile husband and I refuse to wear those things and I'm pretty sure we never got it. If we did, we were either asymptomatic or it was so mild we literally couldn't tell or confused it for seasonal allergies.

One of the reasons people who have already recovered from COVID-19 have been stuck in nursing homes for so long is because they need 2 negative tests in order to be released (because there are so many false results, they are being extra careful that someone is really over it). So someone will get sick with COVID-19, be over it in a week, but be in the nursing home for 2 months because of the lingering genomes causing the tests to show up as positive. This is the real reason why the nursing home numbers are so high; they simply aren't letting people out once they have recovered.
The person who invented PCR tests said they should not be used for diagnosing diseases and you must be showing symptoms associated with the disease to count.

Interesting that Orlando Health confirmed their positive rate was 9.4% as opposed to 98%. My original guess was a systematic or mathematical error that moved the decimal, but this clearly debunks that notion. This limits the explanation down to two possibilities: 1) Egregious mathematical error or 2) Falsified data reports to push an agenda.

I've mentioned this a few times here recently, but I know people that went to the drive through testing at Hard Rock Stadium, they got in line, people came around taking info and telling them to continue to wait. These people waited and waited and waited and finally got tired of waiting so they left without ever getting tested, but a week later, were notified that they had tested positive...without waiting around to be tested.
Once they started telling people about it, they found out other people had the same experience. Not sure why (well I know why) this isn't a top news story, at least locally, but I doubt it ever will be.

Seems clear to me that they're trying their hardest to keep Coronavirus in the news cycle until the election. They need the country to stay shut down as collateral for voting out Trump.
