Here's the Texas DoH (late May) new policy on who is considered a "CoViD case", and who is considered a "CoViD fatality".

Any two of these symptoms:

fever (measured or subjective), chills, rigors, myalgia, headache, sore throat, new olfactory and taste disorder(s);

And this:

Close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID‐19 disease

That's all it takes.

"I think I feel a little warm, and my back was a little sore this morning."

"Aunt Marge said the same thing last week."

This is a reportable case.

And so, "cases" are "spiking out of control!"

It's like instant Amway.
